Emily who is 10 is off on her first school trip on Wednesday (they are staying over for 2 nights)  - PGL as it is called (Emily and her friends are convinced this means Parents Get Lost). Can I just here stress it is in fact the initials of the guy who started it – Emily not buying that.

It is with a mixture of excitement and worry that I will send her off.

Following the attitude I got this morning “excitement” currently outweighs “worry”. Why is it they turn 10 and they start rolling their eyes, trust me……..sometimes even the head kind of rolls as well.

Anyway all weekend I have told her that boys smell, most have athletes foot and really she is indeed better off staying well clear off them until she is at least 18.

As I was standing in the kitchen this morning making the girls their breakfast I said “look girls….. Oscar is chasing Daisy round the garden” (our two rabbits), to which Emily replied “I bet he is trying to shag her”. Shock, horror, ……………… I am really worried now that she is not buying the athletes foot story. Not sure of my next move!!!!!!!!!!
